Florida Travel and Life - I did not subscribe - call 866-836-7885

I recently received a notice from Dinah Peterson, Credit & Collections Manager for Florida Travel & Life at www.floridatravellife.com - to the best of my knowledge, I did not subscribe to this magazine. The notice I received does not have their telephone number but their web address only. Their website does appropriately list their phone number 866-836-7885 but it would not be too difficult to think or "allege" that this might be a deceptive direct mail campaign. According to the customer service rep, they received a mail in subscription request on July 14, 2008. I have had a subscription to other national travel magazines and it sure sounds problematic. I really think these companies should be required to put a phone number on these bills or direct mail pieces and if they are buying a list and automatically subscribing me, that would be a horrible thing to do.

BTW, the invoice is for 21 issues for $19.97.
